Believe it or not, Jason’s technological journey began at the ripe age of 5. That’s when his father, a Tandy Corporation executive, brought home a computer, one of the first in Jason’s community.
By the age of 9 he was writing code and running applications like a champ. But it was a concussion at the age of 14 that took him to a whole new level. He could only sleep in small spurts so the computer became something to engage his rattled brain and keep him awake. That’s when he developed a true genius for programming and code.
At 19, Jason was working for GRiD Systems, then the business services division of Tandy Corporation and the makers of the first “portable” computer, which is considered the first true clamshell laptop.
When the idea for Planet Alumni surfaced, Jason was brought in to develop a platform people would and could use. Something that took the complicated backend of the technology and made it simple and easy-to-understand.
That’s sort of Jason’s thing, by the way. Even though he’s been doing this awhile, he’s still excited by technology and how he can apply it to help solve complex problems. In particular, he’s always been intrigued by the challenge of taking complicated systems and processes and simplifying them. This is especially true of his desire to help people get more of the one thing they can never replace: their time.

Michal’s career commenced in education, where she honed her skills as a math teacher, inspiring students and fostering a deep appreciation for numbers and problem-solving. Her passion for teaching left an enduring impact on her students, instilling in them a love for mathematics.
